How It Works

Performers are given a chance to play in front of a panel of judges for the opportunity to win a spot on the stage at Wild Mountain. Spectators are treated to two nights of music at venues around Hinton. Support your local performers, learn about Hinton on Stage Concert Series and our amazing line-up, have some laughs and enjoy great music.

Wild Mountain will bring the entertainment. Make some time, it is going to be great fun. Bring friends and family and lets support the performers.

Are you a performer? Here's the scoop!

1. Your band (or solo performance) can be from anywhere. You only have to be able to perform live on June 2nd at Sweet Lou's;
2. All genres are welcome, from hard rock to rockabilly and blues to bluegrass;
3. No entry fee;
4. Apply by email to info@wildmountainmusicfest.ca ;
5. Include name of band, contact person with email and phone number and a bit about the band including genre of music.Your chances of being selected increase when you supply a video or sound file;
6. We will also need a stage plot with how many musicians and what they play as well as any equipment that you might bring (sound is provided at each venue);
7. Bring your own instruments. We have mics, DI, mixing board and sound system;
8. This is a contest and there is NO fee paid for playing at the Mashup.

The judges will choose the best four performances from the Mashup nights and the final Mashup will be the four bands playing on the main stage at Wild Mountain. The judges will choose the final winner and that performer will win 8 hours of recording time with Dave Martineau of Blue Diamond Studio and Mountain Music.
